How To Book Julian
The drama “Julian” adapts beautifully to a wide variety of settings:
- church sanctuaries
- college chapels and lecture halls
- retreat centers
- seminaries
- regional and national denominational conferences
- convocations/workshops on spirituality, worship, music, arts, medieval history, women’s studies
Ms. Loving provides props and staging; the host provides a lavaliere microphone and a few furnishings. No special lighting is required, although it is ideal if the performance area is well lit and the audience in partial darkness.
Once Ms. Loving and the sponsoring organization have agreed upon a performance date, a written contract is exchanged and production and promotion resources are provided.
Expenses include travel/housing/meal expenses as well as:
- $2000 honorarium for “Julian” performances
- $35 royalties to playwright
- $60 shipping props/scenery (approximate)
Some sponsoring organizations choose to charge admission and/or to collaborate with other organizations to help defray costs and to convey the professional scope of the production.
In addition to performing, Ms. Loving may be available to lecture, preach, and lead retreats and workshops.
